I get a daily email/newsletter from SIG Sauer. Often they have attached video links, and sometimes links to "partner" programs and sites.

Got one this morning tagging a business called Cash for Arms, claiming to give me an offer to buy my firearm, with an assessment and bid offer. The site is very sketchy, little info, and two links that should show business information are full of pig latin printer's placeholder text. First thing it wants is my name, email, and phone number to even receive a form to get info on whatever I want to sell.

Smells of a scam. Google and various security plug-ins do not react to the site.

Talking about Sig. I saw a U-tube article about how the Sig 320 was going off in police holsters, without the wearer ever touching the holster. Seems like just bumping the holster could cause this. Also seemed to happen to civilians also. I don't have any Sigs so I cannot say. I have Glocks and S&W revolvers, plus a couple of 1911s. I have never had any of them go off accidentally, or by gently bumping the holster.

Just another reason why the only striker fired handgun I own is a WWII Luger! If the pistol doesn't have an exposed hammer, it doesn't get a second look.

Striker fired platforms tend to be less tolerant of safety violations, but you do have to be pretty irresponsible to have an ND with the Glocks and M&Ps. The 320's problem has been well document since 2017; I saw reports and discussions thereof on a forum of hard use folks (.mil and LE) back then. Although I have a 239 and like it well enough, as a general rule I would not trust Sigs made after the classic metal designs, and even then I have seen some examples of poor quality and unethical denials of problems. In 2006 or so I ordered a 239 and when it came in it was so unsatisfactory the dealer refused it on his own initiative.

You must have been hiding under a very big rock to have only just learned of the Sig 320 issues. That pistol has spawned a number of memes on the subject of gun safety.:D

I have a SIG 1911, two P239's, a West German State Police P6/P225, and a P227. All hammer fired steel/alloy slides and frames. No issues with any of them. Good guns in my opinion. Don't do SIG, S&W, Springfield, Ruger, etc. plastic. Glock got it right with the plastic IMHO.
