Default Friend

I received a request to "Friend" a member. Not being a social media guy, why would I want to "friend" anyone?

Does it generate annoying PMs?

The “Friends List” is really nothing more than a shortcut to access a members profile. Instead of doing an advanced or community/members search, you simply go to your profile page and click on the friend. He probably likes what you have to say and is interested in following your recent posts/threads.

It’s also handy if you communicate with other members on a regular basis by PM. It doesn’t automatically generate any additional PM’s and it doesn’t give them access to information that they couldn’t get elsewhere.

You can be judged by the Friends you have.

That can be good or that can be bad depending upon who they are.

In my case all the folks on my Friends list are way above me. Why it make this old hillbilly look decent by hanging out with those compadres!

I am like Al Bundy. Friends, don't need 'em, don't want 'em, don't want to look at 'em. LOL

Of course he was talking about the TV show.
