Lee, I'll try to post a pic. of my Ojala rig. I got his number in '86, called him and ordered a left hand black standard rig for a 7 1/2" colt. He had great stories about movie stars. He sent me a Paladin card and other stuff I have in a frame. I'll post it tomorrow.

Not your typical BBQ Gun but one worthy of showing off..
I had to sell this last year and a Nacotics Agent now has it in his collection..

This is about as spiffy as I can come up with.
Stick it in my Cummerbund and I'm good to go.
Yeh, right, and I got some good swamp land in SE Wyoming for sale too.

Define B.B.Q. gun...
What's the gun gotta have to be considered a B.B.Q. unit? I've always thought "flashy" got you invited to the B.B.Q. but you know, I've seen several REAL flashy guns described as "pimp guns".
So what's the gun of 2009 need to have to make the cut?
Bob

Hello
Here is a Pre-27 The way it shipped in 1954..I Hunted Hard for a Pre-27 Nickel revolver many years before finding this one, they do not come along often. I Guess the guys that have them do not let go of them very often, and I know this one will never leave the stable.. Hammerdown

If I am not mistaken I believe proper Pimp guns must have lots of Gold inlay. Not that anything is wrong with that.
There is a really nice HK 4 at the shop. A anniversary special. I love the gun but it has some Gold stuff, trigger and the anniversary side medallion. Just can't buy a HK with gold on it.
I know I said I wasn't gonna look anymore.

I agree and when I get to be president I will pass a law that one person can't own that many nice guns, unless it is me.

BBQ guns? Origin of term...???....
Here in Maine we have clambakes, not BBQ's, and people don't generally come armed to a clambake, so I ask from ignorance, what is the origin of the term " BBQ guns", and how would you define, in words, the term? I can sort of get the drift...I can see that they sometimes tend to be over-the-top, or ornate, even rococco, or (dare I say it) pimpish, at least the more highly engraved or flashy specimens, or maybe it is more Sunday-Go-to-Meeting fancy...help me understand this phenomenon, and how it came to be....
not being judgmental here, I have a couple which might qualify, i love to take them out and fondle them, but don't shoot them much...

This sixgun has the clout to be worn proudly at any BBQ, but then again, it has just enough grit to be an EDC piece at the same time.
