Gun Show Report- PINTO
This morning I went to a small gun show in Manassas, Virginia with high hopes. The last time I went there I came away with a Chiefs Special (Baby Chief), half moon sight, numbered grips, 4 digit SN, and original red box. Keep in mind there are about 100 tables there, mostly new guns, clothing, knives, overpriced ammo, and things I just don't care for.
Well today I saw a M&P with original pre war grips, 4 inch dating to 1933; a Model 60, 38 cal, R prefix SN (1969) but still had the diamond magna grips, with original box; and Chiefs Special, model 36 with box. Then I saw a pre model 24, 44 mag, with red ramped front sight, 4 inch. It was a PINTO. I got really excited, did some quick intelligence (internet search) and was ready to make an offer. Then I took a good look, had seller take out of case, and saw it was engraved to a Police Chief in Gainsville, FL. Oh well there is always that next gun show with more dreams.
