Hello, I just acquired a brand new Model 63 revolver, 3" barrel, round butt. Beautiful and well-built weapon, but I'm not real crazy about the synthetic grips and want to remove them and I don't want to damage them. There is no screw on the grips.
Two questions:
- has anyone successfully removed this type of grip without damaging them?
- can you recommend replacement grips, preferable wood with silver S&W medallion, and more of a square grip with sufficient length for all 3 fingers? (not a combat grip).
