John,
A few years ago I bought a holster from you (via eBay) that you described as being very much like an AW Brill, but with no maker's mark - or any other markings. The construction looks very much like your pic above, except that mine is floral carved and is for a 5" N frame. (You actually described it as being for a K frame, but I rolled the dice and got lucky.)
Since then, have you uncovered any more info on Brill's work that would suggest any possiblilty of un-marked holsters that were actually made by Brill? I'll get mine out soon and get some pics and maybe we can compare notes. At any rate, it's a truly fine holster - regardless of who made it.
One bit of info I find most interesting was that Brill was the father of former Texas First Lady - Mrs. John "Nellie" Connally.
Mark, sorry I didn't see this message sooner.I'm sure Brill made unmarked holsters-all the makers did.Buyers,I believe, would order holsters unmarked for various reasons.Brill's stitching, type of thread used, type of backing leather & other details are,I think, what determines if a holster is a Brill.I can't recall your holster but show me some pics when you get them.
Take care,
John Witty

Knowing what we know now, and after seeing pictures of the holster that Mark was referring to, I find these 2 posts very interesting from over 12 years ago. We now know it was a Charles Kluge pre-Brill.
