Toyman, around my area we have the elected "Sheriff" and he has "Deputy Sheriff (s)" of various ranks. We also have Police, be they city, county or state levels. These are the first badges I have seen that use both t he the term "Undersheriff" and "Police" on the same badge. Are the officers some sort of mixed agency of a Sheriff's Office and a County Police Department?
