I have the exact same last round experience as 1sailor... with my 1st gen M&P40c and a factory 9mm barrel. However, I can use the 9mm mags when shooting as .40 and not have the last round issue.

My 5" HD spits out a Saeco #382, 160 LFP over 5.7gr HS-5 at 880 fps using a WSP Mag primer. If I use 4.0gr of W452 it only goes 840 fps.
