How many rounds have you put through your 15-22?

Just want to start a reliability of the 15-22 thread. Please be honest. I just want to see how these are holding up. Also post if you had any major issues after a certain round count.

I can honestly say that I have shot close to 1500 rounds with zero issues.

Well I just shot mine for the first time last weekend. We put in 600 rounds since that's all that we can purchase. They limit 6 items of ammo per customer at our local Walmart.

We used CCI mini-mag and not even one misfire :D

I've put at least 4000 rounds through mine. The only probably I've had is mag snags. And thats just me loading to fast because I get anxious between mags :D

I'm at well over 16,500 and no real issuse other than the ocational mag snag

5500 Federal and CCI not one issue. Will do 550 more today

Before return to S&W-36
Since return from S&W-4,000 (Half Federal, half CCI MiniMag)

MiniMags- 99.999%- I actually did have one round fail to detonate even w/ a good pin contact!

Federal Bulk-99.6%- about 2 rounds per box of 550 fail to detonate the first time.

Mag snags? Usually the first round in a fresh magazine. I don't bother anymore to ensure the correct staggered spacing as it will shoot fine stuffed in there. The drawback is that random stuffing will result in a non-staggered magazine which will result in about this much ][ extra space used in the magazine and will make the last round load funny.

If I leave the mags a round short, there is never a problem w/ new magazines regardless of how they're loaded. (This sounds vaguely familiar from training 44 years ago!)

Made it thru a couple mags when extractor went missing due to ftf, fte and oob discharges.
Came back from the Mother Ship and put about 3000 round thru it & its been flawless.
Has an occasional Failure to Fire but I blame that on the Winchesters
Ran Winchesters(333's,HV and Wildcats) , Federal and CCIs in it and they all ran good
Even tried Remingtons (Bulk and Subsonics) as a test and it ran fine

S&W Made it right for me, I was a lil diappointed at first but I would buy it again.

1000 rds plus and had a few stovepipes and jams in the beginning, put 300 rds through yesterday with one jam, otherwise flawless and never been back for service.....

about 750 rounds Mostly all Federal Bulk and about 50 or So CCI Stingers.

only had 2 failure to ejects. I'm happy with it.

only 900 rounds through it so far, i'm still very new to shooting the 15/22. my trigger finger's twitching with excitement thinking about 10,000 plus rounds! sounds like too much fun:)
had some issues with the first 200 rounds of CCI, bad batch i think. 700 rounds since, of Fed Bulk with just 1 FTF.
i love it.
happy shooting to everyone!

Getting close to 17k. Used to have 1% mag-snags before I stopped using ALAB. Had zero FTEject until my last two outings (2 each time). Zero FTFire. One OOB. Never adjusted ejector. Never been back to S&W. DTH Series.

I have 3000 rounds through mine. Not a single problem. Shoots all ammo too. First 1000 rounds were CCI Blazer I had sitting around for the break in period. Only thing I can say is clean it very well right out of the box then go enjoy it.

I am getting close to 1000 rounds, Federal 550, Winchester 333, Aquila (few types), CCI mini mags. Only 1 mag snag and 1 failure to extract.

Just shy of 1.5 550 RGB packs (so around 700'ish RGBs). About 200 Fed Bulk (from the 550 pack), and 100 WinSuper-X HPs (which I bought in 1991!!).

No issues other than a typical 1 RGB per mag FTF. No FTEs, no OOB firing. Pretty happy thus far.

I meant to shoot a bit more, but I found some cheap bulk ammo for my .308 took it out the last time out to the desert along with my Rossi .223/20 guage combo gun. I love that Rossi (and my son's .22LR/.410 combo as well). Not sure why, I just get a kick out of those break-opens.

I'm at just over 1,500 with no issues, all suppressed. I've used Federal Bulk, Winchester Super X HP, Winchester Super X Subsonic HP, Remington Subsonic, CCI Minimag, CCI Stinger, CCT Standard. I like.

i went over 3K yesterday and it's only getting better. 10 mags yesterday slow and rapid fire with zero issues. shooting almost exclusively fed bulk 550 red box. got a bunch before wally world raised the price 17%.

Shot a few hundred (with many problems) before doing the ejector fix. Since the ejector fix, about 2000 with just a handful of mag snags. It's going out with a friend this weekend for another 500-1000.

Around 10,000 give or take. I gave up keeping track at 8000.

Getting started

Just picked mine up last night.Cleaned and oiled really well.Shot 200 rds today.100 cci blazer and 100 federal bulk.Perfect with no failures at all and very accurate to 25 yds. Will try further when I get a scope on it.

I have shot 700 flawless rounds since getting mine, last Friday. I could be more pleased. The 15-22 is a stellar performer. It's soooooo cheap to shoot.

Currently, I have only been able to shoot at 25 yards. The accuracy of this firearm is much better than I had expected. I have been busy with my 2 year old grandson and do not have the time to drive out to the longer ranges. Hopefully, the weekend after next, I will be able to shoot at 50 and 75 yards . . . Can't wait for that! ;)

I lost count somewhere around 2,500. I probably have somewhere around 3,200 rounds through it now. I blew the extractor off around 2,000 rounds, that was my fault though, I knew I shouldn't have been shooting the Remington grenades.

A tad over 15,000 with no issues other than an occasional mag snag. Mainly shooting Federal bulk but lately have been shooting CCI Grren Tag when I can find it. Subsonics sound cool and are much more accurate!

let's see,...550 in a box....20 boxes.......equals ALOT...lol

I'm curious just what you high round count guys shoot?

I've got about 1500 - 2000 rounds thru mine (five boxes of Winchester 333 plus assorted boxes of 50 and 100 of others) and I'm running out of things to shoot!

I don't shoot living things (unless they have the ability to shoot back!) and the darn range cleaned up most of the shotgun hulls I like to chase around and down the range with this rifle. Paper and that same steel old target are as boring as the current reliability of my M&P15-22.

Will .22LR kick those poly blocks hard enough to move around?

-- Chuck (half a case of 333 still sitting here...)

Chuck- my latest target of choice is golf balls! When I get home from work I'll throw a few out in the pasure and shoot em until they are out of range. Lots of fun and they hold up pretty well. Also have some metal spinning targets set up up at 50yds and larger metal plates nailed to trees at 75 and 100 yds. Been shooting alot freehand trying to improve my steadiness. I'm deadly using the bipod out to 75 yds but there is still plenty of room for improvement shooting without a rest. -Mike

this is actually a good idea. if i had the place i would first - hit some range balls and then second - shoot them with the 15-22. then i wouldn't have to go pick them up!

two in one sport. the fun of driving balls and the best of all shooting them

I wonder how well Tiger Woods can shoot? The grounds keeper would be pretty upset I imagine.

Full Auto Golf.

Edit: Have you guys seen that thing you can screw onto your AR that shoots golf balls?
I think Cheaper than dirt has them. This plan might just come together.:D
