I was cleaning my Springer last night, remember greasing the rails just slightly last summer, I thought. I only put a couple mags through it since. Those rails were as dirty as I have ever seen them. I didn't re grease.

Me too, added the sliding glass doors the second year thinking they might radiate the heat some more. Not noticably.

What kind of fireplace do you have now? Does it burn wood, or is it a direct vent, enclosed with a pane of glass gas log unit? Many of the direct vents will accept a blower unit that considerably increases the heat you get from them. The ones we currently use radiate some heat through that pane...

13 degrees earlier, but 1" of snow, is all it takes for a SNOW DAY, round these parts.
