if it was converted....they did a fantastic job. When I got it, it has Pachmayr grips on it. I had an extra set of Smith grips and they fit perfectly and there was no sign of machining on the grip frame. If it was converted, I lean toward a barrel swap but it fits perfectly too.

A Ruger and a Marlin. ...and a Smith. I want a 3" 657 so bad I can taste it but alas...none too common. I even have a 3" 624 I would trade. Also want a blue 5" Redhawk but they are less common than the 3" 657.

I just saw an ad for a model 57 but clearly shown in a pic i have seen, it has fixed service style sights....like a 58. Is it possible that a 57 had fixed sights? I will be able to look at it tomorrow but would like to go into the negotiation with as much knowledge as possible.
