    An Old War Horse....

That'd be a tough decision for me to make and it's a safe bet neither one of my daughters would ask me to make it. Certainly my son-in-laws wouldn't allow it.

    M41

My M41( shipped April 1977) had a failure to extract. Changed the extractor, spring.Tried a half dozen different types of ammunition. Changed magazines, finally gave up. Sent it to S&W 8 months later comes back works perfectly. I suspect they used a finish reamer on the chamber.

    41 magazine service.

Sent my 41 in to S&W for failure to feed ( serial # A439572 shipped Apr 1977). They said to ship without the magazine. When I got it back ( 8 months later) problem solved ( believe they finish reamed the chamber) and a NOS magazine. Works perfectly.

For those age 60 or under (Gen X or later generations…)

I'm 71 and got the old Smith collecting bug after having ocktails and going on GunBroker. Helps to not being married and being retired. Best part is the next morning, " WTF did I buy?"

.22 CM repair who to send it to

I second Nelson Ford. The doctor for S&W's. Smith & Wesson won't work on older Smith's. Had a .455 Triple-Lock that had issues. They said they wouldn't work on it but they recommended Nelson Ford. His work is highly recommended.

Best screwdriver to fit the tiny K22 sight screws?

Bought a Wheelers Engineering kit at the 2005 Shot Show. Absolutely the best purchase. High quality and there's nothing made that it won't fit.

Grim when my "replacement" stocks came to 1/3 what I pained for the revolver. Love to know what the knucklehead did with the original stocks.

For those of you that saw my posts of " My latest acquisition" and "Question on refinishing stocks" I finally got a lovely pair of correct stocks. To recap this is a 1905 4th change target model, serial # 659547. Came with the incorrect stocks. Bought a correct pair and they defiantly had seen...
