I have a model 19-3 with a 6" barrel circa 1976.I have a spare Millet rear sight that was on a 4" M19. I know they have different blade heights manufactured for a 4" and a 6"barrel. Would this difference in rear blade heights be that critical if this spare Millet sight fits the 6" M19? Thanks

I would expect more from S&W and even Ruger,but it seems to be a common experience with many shooters. If your'e paying $600 plus for a gun I don't think expecting it to be right, out of the box is too demanding. Like someone posted awhile back, the new QC is customer service.

I strayed and bought a new Ruger 45 colt/45 acp blackhawk. FMJ's fit flush in the 45 acp cylinder, but my LSWC reloads won't sit flush in the cylinder, although they fit in my case gauge. The wads work with my 1911. Is it the oal, or is tight cylinders? I guess they can be reamed,but I'm not...

Whats the deal with these misaligned barrels on recent S&W revolvers? Is this becoming the norm? Has quality control gotten that bad. I have also read horrible stories about lousy repair work. I was thinking about a new model 63. Maybe I should consider an older one.
