After following many of the .380 posts here, I bought a Taurus TCP.

Since 1987 my 4506 has never had a gun caused failure. Some, very little, ammo related problems. This includes 12 years of daily carry. The 4506 is a great gun.

Only local Only FTF Only cash I've used them often and as long as you follow the above and take your time inspecting, it goes well. Trading gives me the chance to have and shoot a lot of guns I might not otherwise spend money on.

Agree with Sam above. When you chamber a round pull the slide all the way back and let go. It will slam home and make a clang sound. Its supposed to do this. It happens after every round you fire. It won't hurt the gun. Also your grip can cause FTFs. Not using a firm grip and a locked wrist...

Steel is stronger than plastic. That said I won't change guide rods until I need a new one, and then I would go steel.

My 4506 is the only gun I have loved enough to not trade for a new interest. It will be awhile before my SD40VE goes to a new home. I just enjoy putting ammo downrange with it.

Two things that void your warranty. Reloads and buying used. Its why the M&P is my last S&W
