    Propane Sticker Shock!

Just had my tank filled...1st time since last spring and it was $2.71 a gallon. When crude hit $150 a barrel a couple years back.. propane here never hit $2.00 a gallon. Reg unleaded gas is $2.69....why the run-up on propane??

    Air Rifle Advice?

I hadn't really considered going that route as I have a T/C .22 Classic and a Ruger 10/22 Target..but with the price of high end pellets and pellet rifles et all..I might be better off adding a pump .22 to the collection to shoot .22 sub-sonics. Always wanted one anyway!

    Air Rifle Advice?

They were both air rifle scopes...the first came packaged with the gun. It will group under a quarter at 25 yds..but 50 shots later you may not even be on paper. I have given thought to upgrading to RWS which should address accuracy issues; but has the drawbacks of being heavy, expensive, and...

    Air Rifle Advice?

I bought a Beeman .177/.22 combo about 18 months ago. It's accurate...but won't stay "sighted in". I have replaced the scope and tried loctite on the barrel screws. While I like the concept and power of the spring-air design; I am not so sure that for plinking and the occasional garden pest that...

    Jury Duty

Lots of occupations are statiscally more likely to result in death or disability than military service. Firefighters, emt's, and policeman aren't subject to immediate deployment to anywhere in the world for years at a time; and none that I am aware of endure the same hardships and deprivations...

    Gutter guards?

I was also intrigued by this but hestitated because I feared the large white oaks surronding my house drop alot of "flowers" in the spring that clog up my gutter guards. I was afraid that stuff would stick in the foam and I would have stuff sprouting in the gutters. I love the shade but trees...

Wifes new Personal Defense revolver, .22 Magnum 651

Rule No 1: let the woman make her own choice. No handgun is really "enough gun". A .22 she has with her and shoots well is a better choice than a .357 she won't carry or practice with.

    Best Rifle Revolver Combo

S&W 686 or Model 60 with a Rossi M92. Dropped a nice plump doe with the Rossi last year. Still searching for a lever gun to pair up with the .45 Colt Mtn gun.

    More .22LR, M63

Here's my I-frame 4" and 34-1 Snubbie; Missing from the family portrait is the Model 43 I have owned for a over a year without managing to take a picture of or shoot. A 2" 63 is at the top of my "must have list". I love my 617...but for a trail or kit gun...the J-frame and .22lr are a...

    The Everything Gun

I love all my Smiths', but my "only one gun" answer would be a Winchester Model 12 pump in 12 gauge. For a handgun; I'd opt for something readily concealable like a 3" Model 60 in .357.

    Favorite 22LR Rifle?

I bought a Thompson .22 Classic when they first came out. Walnut and steel appeal to me..and it shoots as good as it looks.

The Rossi Ranch Hand Win. 92 Handgun

I had an initial "I want one of those" reactions but then I started thinking about how one would use the thing?

What is your favorite Mountain Gun, and why?

My favorite is my .45 Colt Model 25-7. It's the most accurate and enjoyable to shoot gun handgun I own.
