Interest vs Collectible Guns
I have CD's @1.5% interest. I am converting as much of those as I can into Smith & Wesson and Colt pistols in the models that I like. At least I enjoy having the guns plus I don't think they will do worse than 1.5%. No way to know for sure but that's my two cents.
Hello
Beautiful mod 586! Are those Jay Scot grips? I have 4"&6" blue and 6" nickel with boxes just missing the 4" nickel. One day I will get the right one a 586 no dash to complete the set. Your 586 is mint to the core man.
NOS 27-2 with blue one piece box
I bought a NOS 27-2 in 4" Blue recently on Gunbroker for $750 of course that did not include ffl fee and WA sales tax. It had the factory target grips but I put a set of Badger grips on it. It had the blue S&W box and paper work and cleaning kit as well.
Hello Bill
This is a gun I was looking at purchasing but the owner wants a substantial price thinking the case is NOS old Smith & Wesson. 44 looks nice NOS even but for the price he wants the case needs to be correct as well. I have another 44 with a really nice case inside...almost mint ...but...
Hello Guys
I need some help on a Mod 29 that I want to buy. I have only seen the Smith & Wesson presentation boxes with blue flocking. Around 1979 did Smith & Wesson make any with a black material like the pictures I have here?
Thanks

Todays Prices
In 1988 the pressures of raising a family forced me to sell of a 25 gun pistol collection. Mostly Smith Wessons from the mid to later seventies, a few colt 45's and two Lugers. Since last February I have been replacing the guns I sold one by one. The least I have paid it 3X the...
41 Magnum 6"
I sold all my pistols 25 years ago. Then last year I started buying guns again. The first one I bought was a mod 57 6" Blued 41 magnum. It is my favorite gun to shoot. Even though I now have a choice of guns to shoot it is still my favorite to shoot.

Harold
Hello Guys
I have been wondering what is the best long term care for NOS guns. In order to avoid hazing the nickel or damaging the bluing should I just put a light coat of flitz wax or is another wax better. Or if not wax would something else be best? Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks

Mod 29 Question

Box Question
Hello Haris
I think my pictures of my mod 57 41 magnum would be like your gun came. I would like to know what year Smith & Wesson went to this style of packing their guns if anyone out there knows. I think this 41 magnum was a 79 model so I am thinking late 70"s
Thanks
