    1076 -Did I make a mistake? It's not a 1006!

    How could buying a 10mm S&W be a mistake?

1991 American Handgunner 1006 torture test

I came across this article in American Handgunner Annual, where they put 10000 rounds through a 1006 in 6 1/2 hours. The test can be found here: Smith & Wesson Is there any chance to get a better scan of this test, and especially a better picture of the 1006 on top of that pile of cartridges?

I seriously can't take anymore of the 3rd gen prices

The nice thing about markets is that supply and demand will level it out. Always. That is unless government or whoever is manipulating it. The fact that you are not willing to pay a certain price does not mean the item is overpriced. Only if _nobody_ is willing to pay that price. Than price goes...

I seriously can't take anymore of the 3rd gen prices

To me, it simply comes down to "what is it worth for me, personally?". At least, this goes for things that I really can relate to, like house, car, gun. I spend 510 Euros for my unfired 1006 recently (see unboxed 1006 thread), and this is above what is listed for that gun in german price guide...

New boxed 1006, ok to use it?

Finally! Today I went to the range and fired 100 rounds of Partizan ammo through it. My index finger hurts a bit, but I am VERRRY pleased with that pistol. And since this kind of ammo works well for me for training purposes, and it comes at around the same price as .45 ammo, I can drop the idea...

    3904/3906 opinions

So, except from one being stainless, what is the difference between both? Looks like the 3904 would be a nice companion for my 1006.

New boxed 1006, ok to use it?

Can somebody tell me if it is possible to convert the 1006 to .40 S&W by changing barrel and slide assembly? Does the 4006 have the same frame? For training, it would be nice to shoot .40 or even 9mm. Please enlighten me about me options. I know it would be easier to just buy another gun, but...

    10mm vs. .357 Sig

Just to give you some comparison on overseas ammo prices: PRVI 10mm is 19,20 Euros per 50 Hornady 10mm is 20,30 per 20 (!) Federal 10mm is 38,90 per 20 (that sucks!) most .45 ACP comes somewhere between 20 and 40 Euros per 50pc.

New boxed 1006, ok to use it?

In german egun marketplace, I recently watched a 4506-1 and a 5906 go for 370 and 360 Euros. There are plenty of guns on the market, not only S&W. Some weeks ago there was discussion in some of the states to apply a 300 euro firearms tax (per weapon per year). Many shooters are just sick of all...

    10mm vs. .357 Sig

I _heard_ these are not good for reloading either. Could imagine the brass is not premium quality, but that's just what I understood.
