    Model 19-5 failure to fire in double action?

    I recently purchased a model 19-5. The gun very frequently fails to fire in the double action mode (about 90% of the time). When fired in the single action mode the gun fires every time. I have tried several brands of ammo with the same result. Any help would be appreciated.

    M&P 9mm PRO weak ejection problem?

    Thank you for the response, it was very helpful. It would appear I have a strong spring, as the +P ammo has a very nice ejection pattern. I will try leaving the slide back for a while.

    Just picked up a 9mm pro and the gun has a very weak ejection pattern. The gun ejects spent cases often right in my face. Note: my 4.25 inch 9mm M&P launches cases nicely high and right, three times as far using the same ammo.
