Anyone out there still reload with older equipment?

Yes Sir ! I use a Rockchucker for most of my reloading. I have a Lyman All American with some seater dies in it for seating cast bullets in my old 06. I shoot a lot too. Like you say very simple and safe. I don't lack for anything either. I just like what I have.

Need 1st press advice, what do you suggest?

I use a Rock Chucker . On the bench to my left I have my seating dies and an m die in a Lyman All American. Size and de prime on the single stage. I use a bench mount priming tool. I load 200 rounds a month. Plenty fast kinda low budget . Works just fine.

    Stepping back to single stage

I've loaded for 35 years on a Rock Chucker . Nothing againest a turret. I have a turret press on the bench I use to seat cast rifle bullets . I just like simple. I batch load mostly in the winter for the next year. Few mistakes and no double charges etc.

    Plenty of unique

An old habit from 35 years of reloading and shooting. I've always have kept large amounts of supplys along with bricks of 22 shells. For the last few years it's paid off. But I'm ready to get some stuff again as it becomes available.

Being Priced Out of the Market

I'm not yet retired. Put a couple kids thru collage. Money is still tight. Bought a lot of guns in my younger days. My model 27 I couldn't replace today. I spend my money on powder, primers and bullet molds. I'm glad I bought mine when I did.

I have a lot of it. My brother gets it off commercial construction jobs. I smelt it into one pound bars. I do it out side to burn the cardboard off. Very soft.
