My 629 MG had to go back to S&W to fix a problem with the trigger. Got it back and it works fine. The .357 MG has been trouble free and shoots great.

Any revolver with a longer than 3"or so barrel with a full underlug. Don't like the looks. JMHO

It's definitely a nice gun. I put it in a pocket holster and go on my daily early morning jog through the N ID forest. I wish it had an adjustable rear sight though. I might pick up a Ruger .22 mag LCRx I saw at my LGS and see how that compares even though it's a bit heavier than the 351 PD.

I think the guide got lucky the bear was going after his clients and not him so he had time to shoot the bear multiple times and he was using +P cartridges with 147 grain hard cast bullets.

I don't think S&W is any worse than the others. I've been lucky the last couple of months in that out of the 7 or so S&W revolvers I bought during that time only the 629 MG had to go back. I bought a Ruger SRH recently and it had so much end shake that the cylinder was hitting the forcing...

Sorry to read that you also had a problem with your new revolver. Hope they get it back to you quickly. My 629 took about 3 weeks. I wonder if they are rushing too much to try and meet the heavy demand?

Got the 629 MG back from S&W yesterday. They don't say what they did to it but it seems fixed. Previously the trigger would no longer cock the hammer back after a shot or two. Went and fired about 10 full load shots in the back yard last evening and it looks to be fine now. Will test it out...
