    How would you handle this?

+1 If I were in you son's shoes I'd have a polite conversation with him about the situation and let him know that its just not worth my time and effort of less than $50. If he doesn't want to pay what he did last year, then fine, let him hire the commerical contractor. Shake hands and no hard...

    What Would You Do If.....

I didn't read all the posts so If I repeat something, sorry. Anywho, I'd call 911 and mind my own business. No good will come of getting yourself involved in someone elses domestic dispute. She'll just be back with him the nexy day/ as soon as he gets out of jail. If you shoot you end up having...

Anyone carry a Colt Detective Special?

I used to carry a 70's vintage DS. It belonged to my grandfather and was my first CCW. Its been all but retired for several years now in favor of either a 1911, Glock 19 or 442.

Girlfriend got her Permit today! But...

They're good guns. I've shot a couple and have a good friend that regularly carries one. While the .380 isn't my first choice, if she like it, let it be.

Feeling safe with my J frame

I was just recently taking a personality test for a LE position. One question was, "carrying a gun makes me feel safe." I marked "no" as my answer. Why? Because carrying a gun doesn't make me feel safe. Although a do feel unsafe sometimes when I can't carry. But I digress... Carrying a gun...

    Band of Brothers

One of my most prized possessions is a 101st patch given to me by a family friend when I was a kid. "Sarge" as everyone calls him was due to be discharged when Pearl Harbor was bombed. He stayed in and ended up becoming a "charter member" of the 101st. After WWII he decided to stay in the...

Is it me or are most revolver holster just wrong?

How do you like that holster? I looked at one the other day and while I can't complain about the quality, it seemed like the gun rode too high and the clip was in the wrong palce. (i.e. right on the fattest part of the gun.)

    Uncle Mike's IWB

I bought one for my 442 and hate it. The freaking think must have been designed by a retard. It won't clip over an actual gunbelt, it creeps around and generally feels unsecure. I should have known better... I love my Uncle Mike's pocket holster though.

Help. Wife is left eye dominant.....

I'm left eye dominant and right handed. Its has never been a problem for me. With handguns, I simply tilt my head a bit to align my left eye with the sights. I do have to close one eye with long guns, but again, its not an issue, even shooting moving targets. I had a lot of experts tell me I'd...

How about a Mountain Gun thread?

25-13 Mountain Gun wearing Ahrends Retro Targets. The Mountain Guns are without a doubt my favorite N-frames.

    Single Stage or Progressive?

Realisticially, I get to shoot 200 rounds a month. I'd like to shoot 100 or more rounds a week, but its tough to find the time. Single stage works fine for me. I like tinkering, and it gives me something to do during my down time. I can also turn out some extremely consistent ammo on a single...

    Giving up IWB carry.

If you buy a quality holster, you won't have to worry about it "squirting out". I've had some cheap clip on holsters like the Bianchi 100 and an Uncle Mike's that didn't want to stay put. I've never had even a hint of an issue with my Milt Sparks gun leather. I've found that then it comes to...

    What do you actually CCW?

Most typical is either my 442 or my Glock 19. I really prefer the 1911 platform, but I find them to be just a bit big unless I'm wearing a jacket or untucked button down shirt. The 442 and G19 are very carry-able wearing most anything. One of these days I'd love to pick up a CCO sized 1911, but...

    N-Frame Madness: Concept guns

I like the fixed sight idea. However, I persoanlly have never cared for N-frames with barrels less than 4".
