    An Early Postwar K-22 Masterpiece

I just can't help my self...Here's mine, a 1949 issue. I must say I replaced the grips with Herrets I found online (I shoot a larger grip more comfortably). I love pictures of these old beauties. My apologies...I meant stock's, I've been shooting Colts with grips lately. heh.

Need a smith for cylinder reaming

I have an antique err...Colt Police Positive that's chambered in .32 Colt...an obsolete cartridge that is a few thousands smaller in diameter than S&W long. Without going into detail, I need a guy with a boring mill, a lathe or good drill press to ream six holes in a revolver cylinder so that a...

I belong to a range/club where I see a lot of people shoot all kinds of pistols...This one guy had a kinda bolt action custom job he called a Olympic type .22 short pistol he shot one handed, standing for some competition...that I'm not familiar with. He described how it used to be in the...

So, if I understand you correctly...my 1949 revolver at 4 1/2# SA, is within spec. Good to know, I will live with that. For the time being, anyway. Once again, my thanks.

I like the "Masterpiece" moniker...I guess I gotta call 'er my Master Piece. As far as messing with the springs and such, I'm gonna shoot some more to decide, but duly noted. I've done that kinda work on a single action err...Ruger and I have the proper screwdrivers, and the wife call's me...

Hmm...I don't believe that this is a Masterpiece, don't they have some sort of special marking? Really doesn't matter much to me in any case. I'm gonna shoot 'er some more and see if the painted on gold works for my eye. The single action trigger pull is fine IMO, and actually the double...

Thank you, sir...just as I was told by the seller, good to confirm. Yea, after cleaning it, the extractor works just fine...I would guess the fella who owned it didn't keep it oiled up.

Well. here she is...seems that it hadn't been used in a long time, but after a clp wash it smoothed up real nice. A couple things... the double action trigger pull is stout, way over 8# which is the most my gauge goes. Single action, is what I would guess these were made for anyway, is a crisp...

That was quick! thanks fellas, I hope to have her in hand in a few days and will give y'all some examples of poor shooting. For her age I think she looks better than my wife. ouch.

Hey there, I just bought a revolver online, and have a question that I would like opinions on...the ejector rod on this old girl has (I think) a odd wear pattern on it. The seller said it doesn't affect function, and since it's from 1948 (and a couple years older than me) I have taken a leap...

    Wet tumbling(Not me)

I've been using a Harbor Freight rock tumbler for a few years to wet tumble...Decap, then into the rubber tumbler bins with a half cap full of auto wash and wax and a splash of simple green added to the water. Tumble for a hour and brass and pockets are like new and stay that way...seems the...

    223 bolt guns?

Speaking from my experience...Savage for the budget ...Tikka for the smoothness...either for the accuracy. Don't forget a GOOD scope. (not a Chinese one, you're an American)

    Desperate Times

Thanks for the idea...I just started throwing away some 300Blk brass, that's actually expensive ...now I won't have to waste it.

    Honing revolver cylinder

I have a Ruger .327 SP101 that had one cylinder that was undersized, cases stuck and accuracy was effected. I first polished it with a .410 bore swab coated with Mothers mag polish and chucked into a electric hand drill...it helped...some. What I finally did was purchase reaming bit and...
