Nothing new to me been carrying a 686 and 642. Used to be a M19 and m-38. Whats not to like??? Did the 1911 and High-power thing last 1/4 of the last century. Glad I got away from the dread full bottom feeders.
Interrested in even trade for SW M19-4 2.5 " Nickle, box no tool kit, less than 50 rds fired 99% very clean pristine cond. pinned ,recessed? Split transfer fee, shipping.
Starting in the 1970,s it was a Colt detective and M19 2.5 nickel. Then 3.5 decades of auto,s 1911,Sig,Glock,s. But near 60 years old and wiser now its a SW 642-1 and a M-19 2.5". A full circle and back to the basics of effective selfdefence.
Yes great snubby and the Cadillac of SW snubbies. I have the same M19-4 nickle 2.5 I got unfired in the box for a trade on a Henry 22 brass lever rifle last year. And yes I have shot it and ccw it in a Galco concealment holster. Insured by SW thankyou.
I like the magtech 158hp standard 38spec. It gets a constant 810fps to 825fps in my 642-1. Alot more bullet weight and the same as the Rem. 158swc-hp+p in fps. The +P Rem lswc-hp is no faster in my 642 over the crono at 5 feet. Most +p loads are near standard speed and plus nothing ,but cost...
I seen two new ones a 686 + and a 686 standard both were ILS locks $699 for 686 and $829 for 686-plus 7 shot. The older 686-3 or 4,s go for $600 here in real nice shape.
I ,m talking about Rem 357 mag 158gr. HP loads over the 125gr. hp in the M-19-3 for defence. For target I use 158swc P+. The 158 Rem bullet is old school design with big scollop's cut in jacket and softer lead core hp. I,m sure its fine for defence for 4-legged or two legged. And as you all...
