It's definitely the way to go for competition ammo. I lost a few pieces at a steel challenge match but not enough to cry over. Looks are subjective but I like the looks. Fit and finish seems good and the barrel is centered over the top strap perfectly by looking at it.

Most of my guns are pretty safe. For me, my Anschutz 2013 is the most safe at home. I shot it for several years through college. I couldn't part with a gun that is a reason I am where I am today.

I will also echo the advice to let her pick. Even if she doesn't get to shoot everything she may like, she will know the category she likes best (sub-compact auto, sub-compact revolver, etc).

I finally got some 38 Special loaded with 158gr Berry's and CFE Pistol. No chance to shoot them yet but I did dry fire and practice reloads with 38SP cut to 38SC length. That process took a little to long for my liking so for 18 cents a case, I have 500 pieces Starline .38SC brass on the way.

I've had issues when leaving a magazine loaded long term (1 year plus) . It may have been reloads causing issues but I switch which magazine is loaded about once a month to ensure I don't have issues. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
