    3rd Gen Magazines

I talked with the shop owner, the 6906 magazines are OEM and he sounded flexible on the shipping. I will ask about the MA/Preban issues next time I am in there.

    3rd Gen Magazines

A local gun shop has started an auction site and I discovered they have several magazines for sale, including several for some S&W 3rd Gen semi-autos. Quite a few for the 6906. I don't know about the rules for posting links so, just internet search "Gun Agents". Once you are at the site, search...

DELETE PLEASE - WTB: TSW rail for 5906 or similar. Rail Only.

I am looking for the accessory rail that attaches to a 5906TSW. If you are selling your 5906TSW with rail attached, at a fair price, I may be interested. Thank you, Andy [email protected]

    S&W Semi-Auto Picture Thread

Here is my Shorty 40. It is an exceptional gun. Although I recently put it up on Gunbroker to fund another addition to my Third Gen collection. I cant bring myself to shoot this one and I won't own guns that I cant shoot.

    New to me 6906

That is a beauty. My recent LEO trade-in was only $230 +tax but has lots of character. Dings and dents on the frame, but the rails seem like they have lots of use left in them. A Third Gen for under $300 is hard to pass up. Congratulations on your purchase!

The farrar's are for sale on GB but they are missing the back strap. I will go with the Uncle Mike's for now. Thank you all for the input.

    Uncle Mike's Grips? Pictures please.

Thanks Grif684, They look good. How do you like them compared to the factory grip? Also, has anyone ever seen this one piece rubber grip? It apparently was made for the 59XX series, but I assume it would fit the 4006. Right?

    Uncle Mike's Grips? Pictures please.

I am looking to try out different grips on my 4006. The Hogues were a little to thick, though I like the purchase they provide. I see some Uncle Mike's for sale online and have read they are not as thick as Hogue. I would like to see your pictures of them on a 59XX, 40XX series. Show me your...

    4516-2 Spare Springs Source?

If you have an unfired dual recoil spring set for the 4516-2, Alan's mailing address is: Alan Dugger Sprinco USA 7804 Danz Blvd. Austin, TX 78724-2508 Alan is looking locally for a 4516-2 so he can determine the installed height of the spring when the slide is in battery, and the maximum...

    4516-2 Spare Springs Source?

I saw that link too and appreciated it. However when I went to the site, they were sold out of the outer spring already. It would be good to have a company produce new springs as opposed to selling the few remaining examples of new old stock. The 4516-2 was designed to use two springs, one...

    4516-2 Spare Springs Source?

I heard from Alan at Sprinco. He is interested in creating a spring set for the 4516-2 but needs our help. He contacted Simth and Wesson attempting to aquire an unfired dual nested spring set in order to copy the specs. Alan relates, "While there is still one guy looking around in dusty...

    4566 or 4516-2? Pics added

I've only read about it happening on the 10mm and .45 Gen 3's also. It makes sense that it might be a recoil related issue. I have also read that at one time California LE requested that some of their duty guns be supplied without a trigger play spring. So it must not be a necessary part anyway.

    4566 or 4516-2? Pics added

Thank you, I am happy with it. It feels nice in my hand and is fun to shoot. It will make a good carry gun after I replace the springs and put it through its paces. Is it common for the trigger play spring to break over time? What is different about the 45XX series that they have the...

I searched for that thread as I had heard there was a common, easy fix for the click. What you described worked. No more click, thank you. APB
