Yes,it looks like the London Nitro Proof with an dexter arm holding a scimitar. In addition it has the crown over the letters GP on the right side of the frame. I will be able to get a better look when the gun arrives. Thanks very much for the info!
I just picked up a 52-1 with SN 58xx4. Sent for a wadcutter mold and hope to start shooting soon. I was on a division level pistol team and shot bullseye matches in the middle 60s. Might try it again if the gun shoots good and they welcome old guys.
Nope, no C's on the cylinder or sides of frame. I don't think I want to know bad enough to pay the price of the letter. It is a good shooting gun and great for bowling pin shoots. Thanks for the replies.
Got a 1955 Target Model 25-2 that is nickle plated. Serial Number is N67XXX. I wonder if it came from the factory that way. I am guessing that a S&W letter would be the only way to find out.
Just purchased a 15-4 for $300. A low price locally but pretty beat up on the outside although it has a good bore and locks up tight. Wanted adjustable sights on it to shot light hand loads. Curious about the date of manufacture. I understand it is after 1983. Thanks
