    Foreign proof marks on 1917

Yes,it looks like the London Nitro Proof with an dexter arm holding a scimitar. In addition it has the crown over the letters GP on the right side of the frame. I will be able to get a better look when the gun arrives. Thanks very much for the info!

    Model 52 Dates

I just picked up a 52-1 with SN 58xx4. Sent for a wadcutter mold and hope to start shooting soon. I was on a division level pistol team and shot bullseye matches in the middle 60s. Might try it again if the gun shoots good and they welcome old guys.

    Were 25-2's Nickeled at Factory

Nope, no C's on the cylinder or sides of frame. I don't think I want to know bad enough to pay the price of the letter. It is a good shooting gun and great for bowling pin shoots. Thanks for the replies.

    Were 25-2's Nickeled at Factory

Got a 1955 Target Model 25-2 that is nickle plated. Serial Number is N67XXX. I wonder if it came from the factory that way. I am guessing that a S&W letter would be the only way to find out.

    Manufacture Date of 15-4

Sorry, I knew it was needed, just got in a hurry. In any case it is ADK97XX. It does not have a pinned barrel.

    Manufacture Date of 15-4

Just purchased a 15-4 for $300. A low price locally but pretty beat up on the outside although it has a good bore and locks up tight. Wanted adjustable sights on it to shot light hand loads. Curious about the date of manufacture. I understand it is after 1983. Thanks

    Info on older 442

Just picked up a Smith 442 no dash, no internal lock serial number BPR 3152. Would like to know approximate date of manufacture and any other interesting info about it. Didn't do any research just snapped it up. I paid $325, I think a little steep but older models in excellent shape are...
