    Don't bother with changing anything out, yet. I suspect the problem is one of trigger control. Ensure that the first pad of your index finger is centered on the trigger. The joint should not be touching the trigger. This will keep your own trigger pull from screwing up your sight alignment.

    Light weight, standard pressure. Why? The ability to control. Shot placement and rapid follow up are most important in a tiny gun. Use the Speer Gold Dot 124. The +P will produce more recoil (yes, it is a 9mm, I know) and a bunch more flash. In a larger pistol, I like +P. For the baby...

    Best loads for m&p .40 for home defense

    I tend to trust the FBI ammunition testing. Based upon that, I choose Winchester Ranger or Speer Gold Dot. My agency issues both, and I choose either for my own personal use, also.
