That chest rig is pretty cool. The range I go to is not used very much, it's an employee range for my company. A shoulder rig would be okay but I can see your point.
I am looking for a shoulder rig for my 629-1 Classic Hunter with a 6 inch barrel. I don't use a scope. It will be used only for shooting at the range. I have no plans on trying to conceal carry that large of a gun. Any one have any suggestions.
I have a Spikes Tactical AR and have shot Tula 223 steel cased with no problems. Before the panic I would usually order brass cased ammo over the internet for around 30 cents a round. I would run into Academy and grab the Tula for $5 for a box of 20 if I was going to make a range trip and...
I prefer a 45 ACP as my night stand gun. But if a battle started at my house my Custom 5.56 AR with red dot laser sight and tactical flashlight would be my weapon of choice. Along with my 629-1 Classic hunter for the last 6 shots. As far as the 500 for personal defense. I'm all for the go big...
I've got a 1988 629-1 Classic Hunter with the 6" Full Lug Barrel and non fluted cylinder. The guy I bought it from bought it new and used it for Deer Hunting. It is a regular shooter for me as well.

I seen a model 10 in a local pawn shop Saturday. It looked like it had been fired 1million times with hardly any blue left on it and the lady was like. I'll take 300 out the door. I looked at because, I never pass on looking at a used Smith. But I also was laughing in my mind that was way...
The range I went to was $15 for as long as you wanted. I shot 150 rounds with 3 guns. I was there a little over an hour and felt I got my money's worth. Since I don't reload it would get very expensive staying for long periods of time.
