Modern Cop Carrying S&W Revolver, Great Pic!

Interesting discussion. Sorry if I missed it but what, if any, retention system does that holster have?

28-2 pricing craze seen first hand

While some pristine models may be experiencing a bubble it seems a good part off the used Smith supply chain may be permanently drying (dried) up and that is the police and institutional trades. Gun show tables were piled high with LEO guns in the nineties and it was easy to find them in the...

28-2 pricing craze seen first hand

Thanks gunny. It's N2502xx which per the SCSW puts it 74-77. I did some checking and you're right. It seems they stopped numbering sometime in the 70s. Didn't really find a definitive date though, if one exists. They fit well.

28-2 pricing craze seen first hand

Would like to offer up a public thanks to beagleye who, a couple of posts up, offered to tip us off to the 28-2 seen below. It's in great shape, good and tight. Apologies for the fuzzy pics, for some reason it was the best I could do with my phone. No B&P or other accesories. The service stocks...

    Bucheimer holster ?

Hi Rodger, I believe your holster is a "Combat" made by Bucheimer Clark in California, Model 13A. The different models have different numbering schemes. It is in the 1975 catalog. The Sentinel was made earlier by Bucheimer in Maryland.

    Bucheimer holster ?

My chart shows it's a Sentinel and should fit a 2" J frame. The "B" indicates it's black and 815 is the model number. Can't help with when it was made but I'd say the sixties or earlier. Can you post a pic? Hope this helps.

    Model 15 6" Question

Hi all, on my lunch break today I stopped in a local pawn shop and he had a 15, 6", Patridge sight, no box and no factory grips (it has Hogues.) Was pressed for time. Not sure of dash no. According to the catalog the 6" was offered from '86 to '92, which would make it a dash 5 or 6. Lock up was...

    Model 13 Special Order Question

Thanks for all this info gents. My plan is a call and if they can't help me to send in for the letter. According to the Standard Catalog, FBI issue was 74 and 86-87, and this one dates to 1988 I think. The BAB prefix is not specifically listed so I'm not sure I'm reading the chart right.

    Model 13 Special Order Question

Thanks D the B! Here's a couple more and some leather. The nickle 13 and the blue 13 I really haven't carried and fired. The 65 I carry frequently and fire a few magnums, but mainly 38 wads for fun. Yes, it's a handful with the magnas, but I only fire a few magnums at a time.

    Model 13 Special Order Question

Hi all, Been lurking and enjoying but this is my first post, and it's a question. I have had this 13 for a while. It looks new to me. I have the box but no papers. As you can see from the photo under Spec. Ord it shows 9582, and under Features it reads Special. Was wondering what, if anything...
