Not Sure About This .357 Magnum?

More Photos! Well, the .357 Magnum Revolver (see photos)is now secured in my name and will hopefully be in my collection next month. I really want to thank everyone for their comments, expertise and advice. Lord willing, this will be my first Smith and Wesson Revolver and hopefully not my...

Not Sure About This .357 Magnum?

The shop owner have very good friendship; as we are both "brothers-in-arms". He is a Marine Vietnam Vet and I Airman Gulf War & OIF/OEF Vet. However, I will heed everyone's advice and at least secure my hold with a monetary deposit, in the morning....as, believe someone may be booking a flight...

Not Sure About This .357 Magnum?

Found Couple More Photos... Here are a couple of photos from my phone I found, sorry, I am not tech savvy. There was a photo of the grip butt, however it was too blurry.

Not Sure About This .357 Magnum?

Thanks for the history and education. I was aware Smith & Wesson made a lot of excellent revolvers. I was not aware of the lineage of this specific model. I also, love revolvers that are 4" or less.

Not Sure About This .357 Magnum?

Okay, apparently based on my cell phones photos; the serial number is "158701" with the mark of S & W before it.If I recall correctly that was the same number on the butt. Oh, boy ....is my wallet in trouble, now? Question, what exactly make this model more desirable than many other S & W...

Not Sure About This .357 Magnum?

Thanks for the quick responses. The previous owner told the shop it was a "pre-model 27" and it was shot a few times. Yes, the wood in the box was in great condition...nice bonus. BTW, the number on the butt was different from the numbers on the yoke. In addition, there were numbers under the...

Not Sure About This .357 Magnum?

I have an opportunity to purchase this S & W .357 Magnum Revolver. It has no model number on the box, no model number on the revolver. There are numbers inside the Barrel lug and on the butt of the grip. I think the serial number is on the yoke "73023" and the number "7" under it. I was only...

    M&P 15T or TS

I own the TS and it is a fine AR. Balance, lightweight, easy to handle for CQB engagements and as accurate as my other AR15s (i.e. Colt, BCM, etc). I really like Troy Alpha Rails and the pinned Vortex Flashhider. If you are a veteran or law enforcement you can purchase one at LE/Military...

Thinking of buying an M&P 15 TS

O.P., congratulations on your VTAC II purchase. I own the M & P TS and it's a fine rifle, however, as a retired military via BudsPoliceSupply.com it only cost a little over $900 (w/M & P Finest Rebate). If I recall correctly a VTAC II was a little over $1.3k. BudsPoliceSupply.com. In any...

    My new E SERIES!

OP, darn good score. I just purchased a Stainless "E" Series non-railed for $682 shipped from BudsPoliceSupply.com (i.e.LE/Military discounted). IMHO, very impressive (non-traditional) 1911 and unlike other 1911s (Ruger, Sig, etc.) this one is not leaving my collection. BTW, I hope one...

    M&P 15 TS

Clarification from S & W: Hi, The TS upper and rifle barrel is: 4150 (Our website states 4140 on the rifle page, but it's a mistake.) CMV Chrome lined bore & chamber, 1/7 twist, 6R rifling, 14.5" with permanently attached vortex flash hider (16.1 total length) chambered in 5.56 NATO (It is...

    M&P 15TS

Thanks, BigChief! BTW, I called BudPoliceSupply.com just to see if they have an anticipate inventory for VTAC II or a Mid MOE FDE.....not as of 11.15.2013. I hope to take advantage of Smith & Wessons rebate before the end of the year. Cheers!

M & P 15 VTAC II 5.56mm (Mid Length) No worries, I am now considering adding the M & P 15 VTAC II 5.56mm (Mid Length) sometime next year. I held one a couple of months ago at LGS and while very nice, it has some stiff competition in the $1,700+ price range. However, after reading reviews...
