I think whatever you decide to carry is far better than nothing at all. My 96 year old Former Marine Dad uses my old S&W 31 2" as his carry. His hands are Arthritic and he prefers a 1911 he cannot use it anymore. Use what you can I reckon.

I think you'd be more than well protected from two and some four legged predators with the .44 Specials from Speer or Underwoods LWC. Follow up shots with magnums used to be fun and fast for me but age takes it's toll as shooting is a perishable skill as I was once told.

harry knows of what he speaks. I agree. I shoot the .357 Sig well. I am not denigrating the 9mm. Carry what you like and shoot well whatever that caliber may be.

I know them and have had the 2" version. Very rugged weapon. The trigger could be a bit smoother but is certainly acceptable. I would say that if you desire a weapon to shoot magnums this would be a good choice.
