    J-Frame hammer bob reliability

I have bobbed several J and K frames and have had no trouble with primer ignition. Even with trigger jobs and lightened trigger pulls. I did a trigger job with lighter rebound spring for a friend recently and has had trouble with Russian steel cased ammo, but nothing else. Regarding the...

    3913 Dumb question...

Phenix, I'm sorry to hear about your experiences and so sorry to hear what your mother has had to endure. Losing a child must be the worst a person and endure. We have learned that my wife has a very rare and very aggressive stage 4 cancer that started in her cervix. Even checking with MD...

    3913 Dumb question...

I wasn't sure if I should make a new post or add to this one. I guess I'll add to this. I bought my first ever Promag. I'm not sure if I got lucky or not, but I ran about four cycles through the 3913 with fmj rounds and had zero problems. I would not carry it with the Promag but at least I...

    3913 Dumb question...

Quick update with a range report. The bottom line...this was a great purchase! I shot a variety of rounds, from 124 FMJ, 147 Federal HST, 124 Federal HST and 124+P Speer Gold Dots. Everything worked without a hiccup and I believe I will use the 124 Federal HST for carry. My range has a...

    3913 Dumb question...

To be fair, I have done business with the shop owner for a bunch of years and I really think he was being kind. The trade was an 870 Express Magnum that I got very cheaply due to rust. I got it during covid for $150 and planned on fixing it up. The thing in my favor was that it had a 26" vent...

    3913 Dumb question...

Well, a sincere thank you to everyone for all the kind words. We still haven't heard the pathology report but remain hopeful. Spoiler alert! I bought the gun! My wife and I had a conversation and she said "go get it!" So I did. I don't think it's unfired, but it certainly has not had many...

    3913 Dumb question...

I had one of the original Shield 9mms when they first came out. Either it or I was a terrible shot because it was not that accurate. I sold it at a loss to a friend who just couldn't live without it. My Shield Plus is extremely accurate for me. I added a Dawson fiber optic front sight and...

    3913 Dumb question...

Ok, ok, ok!!! Uncle! You all have talked me into a new gun, provided someone hasn't snatched it up while I was talking instead of buying. ACEd, I guess that I am a guy who shoots everything that I own. Not that I own much, but I get enjoyment out of spending time at the range and I really...

    3913 Dumb question...

...and the reason it's dumb is that I'm going to ask for opinions to a question that I have most likely already decided. I hope that was clear. Basically I'm just trying to justify a new purchase and this is probably the wrong place for that. :) I found very clean used 3913 Ladysmith...

Shield Plus, Conversions, Modifications, an Upgrades..

All I did was put on some Dawson fiber optic front/black rear sights and shoot it. I am getting easy hits on 8" steel targets from 35 yards probably 75% or more of the time and I'm no marksman. Mine has fed every 9mm ammo I have fed it, including 115 gr. steel cased ammo, 147 jhp, 124+p Speer...

Cylinder won't reliably rotate on K frame

I removed the trigger and found that the spring had slipped off the hand. I replaced it and all is well! Thanks for the help. Edited to add: I typed trigger when I meant spring. Oops.
