Thanks, as I now have looked at the barrel nut/D ring clearance it is a bit tight. So, if the new part is the least bit thick it won’t go in as cleanly as You’d like. I also think that using the “squeeze” tool could deform the D ring so as to complicate things further. I’m probably just the guy...
