Hi, My dust cover pin lost whatever mechanism retained it. Now when I shoot, the pin will come out of the front hole and the dust cover comes loose. Do I just need a new pin? Not sure how it got that way. Pretty new rifle maybe only 150 rounds through it.

I have both and I carry both. I personally like the shield better because of the ergonomics on it. Plus, to me it just shoots better. I honestly like them both, but if you are breaking in to the M&P line of pistols, I think it would it make sense to have the same platform across the board.

Slide interchangeability I also bought the 4.25 black version as well as the 5 inch FDE. Are the slides interchangeable between the two? I was thinking of doing a two tone for both guns and swapping the slides and palm swells from one to the other. Not sure though if there would be issues yet...

As I mentioned, I have the Bushnell, and cannot say enough good about it. It is solidly built and the glass is very clear. I'm not sure what the cost differences are between here and there, but you should easily be able to pick up that scope with a nice one piece cantilever mount for under $200...
