more info on markings I do know that the two pin punch marks behind the frame de-cocker indicate that Smith has performed a recall on this gun. So they had it back for the recall after it was made and sold in 1990. I read somewhere that the "R" stamp can mean repair or refinish. Likely repair...

Hello Good Folks. Finally found a model 1076 with SN prefix TFE, made in 1990. Don't know if was an FBI issued or not. See pics. I am wanting to know what the "R" and the upside down "T" stampings mean on the trigger guard. Thanks
