Never use acetone around a car battery. Acetone and sulfuric acid combine to make a very unstable high explosive.

I just got my model 10-5 back from S&W and they did a fantastic job on it. I will post pics as soon as I get my camera battery charged. I have seen hundreds of K frames when I was in law enforcement in the USAF. They issued the model 15 for decades. I have never seen one as nice as this one.
