    K-32 vs model 16

Yeah, I sold a pre-16, 99% in box for 3250 some years ago. They are spendy.

    K-32 vs model 16

I've owned 4 K-frame .32's in my long life of collecting, two minty pre16's, a 16 no dash (about 90%, a shooter), and a 16-4. The 16-4 was, in my opinion, a much inferior gun, showing timing problems (I bought it new, so it wasn't from previous abuse) and a finish that was uneven and already...

    15-4 with odd rack mark

No, certainly not a factory marking. Just wondering if anyone could lD the organization or unit.

    15-4 with odd rack mark

I have a 2" 15-4 with the rack mark on the side plate that appears to be ITF 7. Anybody ever see this mark? I have no idea what it could be.

    Performance Center M&P 9 Pro5 Core Ported

I have a 5" ported, my first polymer gun. Bought it because it feels **a little**like a 1911 in my hand. The trigger is good, the sights (I just have the irons) are good. It is very reliable. Pretty snappy at 25 oz. despite the porting, which I consider "cool" but not very effective in 9mm...

    Model 28 vs 28-2

Gosh, who says it is? The 28 w/o dash was only made for 3 years; the -2 for about 20.

    Old vs new?

I agree, but I don't own 'em after about 1980. Bill

    Old vs new?

Fit and finish on the old ones is incomparably better than recent production. Bill

With prices so high, should I sell?

I've been selling a few. . . I had 3 K32's, two mint in box. Sold one to buy a beautiful blue Wilson Combat 1911 I could otherwise not justify spending the money for. I say sell if your interests have changed and you want to invest in other toys. No regrets on my part for anything I've sold. Bill

28-2 pricing craze seen first hand

I too have a 6" I've never fired for just that reason; but also a 4" that I do shoot. I like the old satin blue as found on the guns of the late 40's/early 50's, but the finish on the 28's never struck me as being in the same class. Maybe it's the polishing that makes the difference. Bill

28-2 pricing craze seen first hand

I know some of us can remember when the 28 was considered sort of like a boat anchor. Bill

Traded for 29-2 Nickel and 586 No Dash

The OP and I are going in opposite directions: I sold a pre 16 (I had two) so I could buy a Wilson Combat 1911 and now am thinking of getting rid of my 4" nickel 29-2 to buy another 1911. Bill

    44 s&w special

The barrel looks cut down to me, but I'd get a Jinks letter. Bill
