    29-4 scope rings

Thanks 75Vette! From the picture it looks like the cross bar is a lesser width than the standard ring. However, it also looks as though the claw, for lack of a better term, or the part that cinches onto the cuts in the barrel is a different shape on the S&W ring compared to the standard...

    29-4 scope rings

Here's an update. I called S&W again, the guy I got this time knew exactly what I was looking for, he said these are completely gone, none at S&W. I called Millett (now owned by Bushnell), they told me the same thing. So it's either hope to win the lottery or go a different direction. I might...

    29-4 scope rings

So I tried calling S&W today, thinking that maybe they still had a few pairs lying around. The guy I talked to was clueless, he didn't even know that this model existed and he told me that unless I could give him the serial number of the gun he couldn't do anything for me. I told him that I am...

    29-4 scope rings

Remember the 29-4, with barrels cuts that allowed clamp on rings to be applied so that the rear sight didn't have to be removed? Does anyone know who made these for S&W and if they are still commercially available? I have had no luck finding them. Thanks.

Blue Dot load for 357 and a question

Hello, Before work became all consuming I used to load quite a bit but have gotten away from it. Now its time to get back to what is important in life. Many years ago I decided to use Blue Dot for my 357. Just would like to get a sampling of charge that others are using for 4 inch barrel...

    Remington 341-P SportMaster

I just bought one at an auction, to add to my fledgling Remington rim fire collection! Not as nice, you got an amazing deal. I found your post to be quite helpful as I could not figure out at first how to get the bolt out!. Seeing your post was great. Thanks.

    19-3 cylinder release button removal

I just picked up a very good mechanical condition 19-3 nickel. The problem is the gun was very dirty so I have been cleaning up the finish with Flitz. I have returned the exterior finish to a condition near equal to the nickel finish under the grips but can't get in tight enough around the...

686 no dash with "M" stamped on frame

I just picked up a 686 no dash and when you open the cylinder, on the frame where the serial number is stamped, is also stamped three times, "M". I have never seen this, I'm thinking it means the gun was modified by factory. Can anyone shed any light of the subject? Thanks

    S&W Model 35?

I stopped in a local shop and saw what the owner had tagged as a S&W Model 35. Kind of a strange looking beast with what appeared to be a grip safety of some sorts but was in the front of grip. If anyone is interested I can get you the information for the shop. I believe he wanted $400. My...
