Moved from CA to IN. All I can say is "Wow!!!"

After being deprived due to California's ridiculous gun laws, I feel like the proverbial "kid in a candy store" every time I visit a gun store out here in Indiana. It really is amazing. I just stand at the gun store counter in disbelief at all the nice things I can now legally buy. I actually...

Pics of my 27-2 nickel and 28-2 blue.

Thanks. I'm really torn about it. Both guns have things about them that I really like. It's most likely that I will retain the 28-2 and let go of the 27-2. I've owned the 28-2 longer so I'm a bit more attached to it. James

Pics of my 27-2 nickel and 28-2 blue.

Hi. I just wanted to share some photos of my 6 inch nickel 27-2 and my 4 inch blue 28-2. Unfortunately, it looks like I'm going to have to part with one of them because I'm going through a divorce... California community property laws. What sucks is that my soon-to-be ex-wife doesn't even...

    1964 Model 39 Steel Frame.

Thanks balldboy and snw19_357. In looking closely at the rear sight, it does seem like it is only adjustable for windage. This particular gun does not have a lanyard ring. From the profile pictures, it looks like a lanyard ring at the bottom. But, that is actually solid and without a hole...

Hi. I posted about this gun a couple of years ago. But, that original post is gone. So, I decided to re-share the photos. This is my 1964 Model 39 Steel. It lettered as having been shipped to a California-based Smith & Wesson sales rep. I'll have to locate my letter in order to recall the...

Pre 29, 4 inch, 5 screw pricing assistance.

I have an opportunity to make an offer on a Pre 29 and would like some help on pricing. The gun is definitely a bit worn... Any advice on setting a price would be really useful. The gun is a 5 screw, 4 inch barrel, with a serial number in the 148xxx range. I would say it is in 90% condition...
