It is an 8 3/8” with barrel scope rings and a red dot that says one V on it. I think it is 1 of 1100 made in 1989. Any info on gun and scope would be greatly appreciated and a guess on value. No box or papers

I have the newest smith book and can’t figure out the year of my 29-5 classic 8 3/8” 44 mag it is drilled and tapped by the factory. The serial number doesn’t coincide with my book. The # is TJA78xx. Any ideas on year
got the gun and checked ser # it was produced in 1982 the year the pinned barrel was dropped. don't know why around the screw mentioned the bluing is a little lighter around the screw as there is no damage, very nice piece for my collection

what i meant was the guy i got it from bought it new and never fired it, you can see the faint every other cylinder powder on the front of the cylinder and i should have said new to me, everybody has to get so technical it takes the fun out of sharing.
