I'm glad I'm not the only one! I thought I wasa little weird because I love cleaning my guns after a range trip! With that being said I use hoppes as well for all of my firearms

I can't really recommend one specifically but if you're going to be shooting around 300 yards a variable scope would be perfect for ya. With the pending election results make sure you make a good choice. Who knows what's going to happen to the AR platform if Obama gets re elected.
