Did you pull the slide while trying to rotate the takedown lever? I can't tell without pictures. The takedown lever has to be rotated and if it isn't it wedges on the front of the barrel lug preventing the slide from coming forward. If you had a picture it would help.

You might just start a new thread in the proper forum but start by removing the rear cover plate and striker and make sure it isn't catching there. Put the slide in various positions, usually fully rearward while trying to rotate the takedown lever.

TruGlo model TG131MPT for the TFO TruGlo model TG13MP1A for the TFX which is what I use on one of my SD9VEs I also like and use the non fiber optic tritium TG231MP on some of my SD9VEs. TruGlo front sights run small. Have some LocTite ready.
