Front of cylinder to muzzle 3.545" from muzzle to front of cylinder, doesn't look to be cut down and everything looks original.

I'm new here, just acquired a model 19-2 with a 3 1/2" barrel, serial #K699XXX, any idea what year and how many made? It was a local Sheriff Deputy carry weapon for 20 + years, minor wear on bluing 85% ? I don't see any reference to a 3 1/2" barrel. Please help
