My father and I went to the Berea show this morning. Crowd seemed a little lighter than usual as well as the number of table holders. Not very many S&W's that caught my eye. There was a Shorty Forty from the PC but it was missing the end label from the pebble grain case. I am always leery of...
Bumping this post back up to the top. I encourage anyone within driving distance to attend. Great core group of collectors here, I have attended several of their regional get togethers and have always had a great time.
Sorry gang, looks like I'm gonna need a rain check. Something has come up which will prevent me from attending. Hope it's a good turnout and good show. See you all at the next one, Bob.
Glad to see you posting and in good spirits Pete. Judging from the photo, that looks like a pretty substantial fire.
Working in a forge shop for 40 years, I've seen more than my fair share of them. Enough to say you did a damn good job by being able to put it out.
Safe travels, Bob.
No 945's Denny, I haven't ventured down that road yet. Not sure if I will, there are quite a few variants and I like to have them all. That will get expensive fast as they are all Performance Center variations.
I'm thinking of the 45XX series. There will be a few Performance Center models...
I am hoping and planning to attend. Still deciding on what I will bring to display. I am thinking of going a different direction from my usual snub nose revolver route. I am leaning towards my collection of 45 caliber 3rd. Generation Semi-Automatics as I have not displayed them before. Best...
I certainly wouldn't refer to this as the "other" by any means. A very scarce variant of which only 91 were produced. This model has eluded me so far, I don't recall ever seeing one for sale. Congrats on finding that one Jeppo. I would be happy to adopt it if you should ever decide to part with...
03Fatboy, this is not the all stainless CQB Model 4566 of which 91 were produced. It does share the same product code however.
BAM-BAM, no billboard on this variant.
Looking forward to what else we can find and discover on this one. To all who have replied thus far, thank you.
Best regards, Bob.
Please bear with me on this. As I stated earlier, I am not too internet savvy. I am attempting to attach a few lousy cell phone photos of the model I am inquiring about. These are clearly marked as PC models and predate the 45 CQB's.
Best regards, Bob.
The variant I am referring to is Product Code 170105, described on page 380 of the 4th. edition of the SWSC. This is the stainless frame, blackened slide model made by the PC for the LAPD of which 20 were produced.
Thanks to the generosity of a fellow member offering one up for adoption I now...
I recently completed a transaction with this gentleman, first class in all regards. I would recommend him without hesitation, he is one of the good guys!! Thanks again Erik.
Simply magnificent Richard. Whenever I click on one of your posts I feel the need to pull out a thesaurus. I know in advance that I will run out of superlatives to describe what lies within.
We have similar tastes in grips and grip makers as well. I also have a pair from Keith in the works with...
Wow!! What a "Bunch", great get together today, really enjoyed myself. May have been a record number of out of state attendees. I was really happy to see so many old friends again. I also wanted to send a huge shout out and thank you to Pete (Masterbuck54) for all of the great literature he gave...
I'll play, here's mine, 2003 Mustang Cobra. I ordered it brand new, still has less than 4000 miles. Made 605 horse power to the rear wheels after I got done with it. Hasn't been out of the garage in years, just can't bring myself to sell it.
