Hi All, I have an M & P compact 9mm. I would like to put a lazer on it. Can any one recommend a good brand? Red or green lite? Battery life? ease of installation? Warranty? Price? ect. Really appreciate your help.

Hey Gang, Just got a reply from Smith & Wesson. You can get a thumb safety on a 9mm Compact but not a Magazine safety and a magazine safety cannot be installed on one if you send it in. Oh Well! Now we know.

Thanks Lonny & reerc I checked new products and reece's link and found the thumb safety compacts. Does anyone know the technical name for the safety feature with a bullet in the chamber and the magazine removed the gun won't fire? I looked up the Tech Specs but didn't see anything for this...

Hi reerc I held a .40 today with a thumb safety. It felt really good and it also had the magazine disconnect as well. I could have bought it for the same price as the 9mm but of course they didn't have any 9mm (sold out)! I would like the 9mm because of the cheaper price of ammo. I checked out...
