SD Triggers and Mag Extensions Coming Soon From Apex

Maybe the Apex Santa could send me something to test since I was a good citizen and provided other good citizens with a fix to their non functioning AET triggers and possibly lowered the RMA requests ;) :D...

SD Triggers and Mag Extensions Coming Soon From Apex

Apex has some good videos on youtube. I took my SD40VE apart MANY times (I did a bit of polishing) before I received my AET trigger just to get used to ALL of the internal parts. Have a look at my posts. My AET trigger fix post is used by Scott/Apex if anyone is having issues with their AET not...

SD Triggers and Mag Extensions Coming Soon From Apex

The trigger pin CAN be a PITA the first few times. I thought of using a hammer but then realized that only a little spring is holding it in place and damage to that spring could be bad. You basically have to wiggle the slide lock up/down/left/right while applying pressure on the pin to get the...

I used a small needle file set that I purchased from Harbor Freight. I think I used the small flat file. Nothing large. 12 Piece Precision Needle File Set

Scott mentioned something to me when we were on the phone. He stated that they have not been able to make a video or write-up about it yet so he would just direct them to my post. Awesome that he has actually followed through with it. I may be making a video of the procedure next. Time will...

Smooth as GLASS Apex trigger or even stock!! POLISHING

I was always told NOT to polish the chamber and to stop just slightly past the peak of the ramp. I could have been misinformed so if anyone here is a LEGIT gunsmith, please let me know if this is wrong. I usually do polish contacting surfaces. I did not at first and racked the slide...

Smooth as GLASS Apex trigger or even stock!! POLISHING

Here is a Taurus PT-140 I am working on for a customer. The feed ramp has some real bad gouges in it so I fixed that and did a little polishing! Before After

Smooth as GLASS Apex trigger or even stock!! POLISHING

I have thought of doing parts of it but not the whole thing. I want to be able to see if I have to shoot in the sunlight. I am doing a Taurus PT-140 as we speak and the customer wanted me to do the top of the slide and I told him I would not recommend it if planning on shooting in...
