Haven't had a chance to try to chamber a 38 special, but colt mag is marked "38 super".

Giles Just purchased this week Giles 3 gun set: 1911 45, 1911 38 super, and High Standard Supermatic Trophy. Question: Can I safely shoot modern 38 super +P in the 1968 Colt 1911 Giles?

Just rec'd sw1911 pro 9mm with adj. sights. Trigger much too heavy @ 5.5 lbs. Only had 115gr fmj which wasn't very accurate. Now with gunsmith for trigger job. Will try 124 and 147 when I get it back. Guess I'm spoiled by my PC945
