Shield 9 for $499 plus tax. I love it no matter what the cost.

Just picked up a Shield 9mm today. I went to my LGS yesterday to inquire about one and was talked into putting down a deposit. It was less than 24 hours before they called and said it was in. he also told that they recieved 30 a week ago. So it does soud like things are getting better for those...

I would wait for the Shield. I have both the 9c and shield after getting lucky and putting a deposit down yesterday and getting the call that some had just arrived. The shield is so much more comfortable to carry.

Just bought my first handgun, M&P 9c. the take down lever would snap in the up postion every time during disassemble. tried pinching the rod and barrell together, work perfectly. the lever stayed down. Thanks for the tip.
