Model 19-3, 2.5 inch, Pinto Value?

Without a letter it's difficult to say. It does look factory. The nickel frame and blued cylinder and barrel are not as common but they were made. The story on Pintos is they were built to use up part overruns.

Model 19-3, 2.5 inch, Pinto Value?

I don't know how to post photos through the "hosting website" process. I'm happy to send one to you if you want to see it. Either an email or cell phone is fine. P.M. me if you want and I'll send it. Just sent my email and cell contact info.

Model 19-3, 2.5 inch, Pinto Value?

Local shop has one of these. Great condition. Minor buggered side plate screw or two. Minor handling marks. It has the nickel frame with the blued cylinder, and blued barrel. Shop asking $995. No box, tools, or S&W paperwork. Always wanted a Pinto. Is this in the ballpark price wise...

    Beretta 21A-.22lr, an Impulse Buy

They like higher velocity .22 LR. I have also found that if I "flick" the rim portion of the first round in the magazine back, with my thumb on the rim, lifting the nose up, and before inserting the magazine into the mag well, it allows for a more reliable first round chambering.

Mod 686 no dash age and value?

The 686 "no dash" models were the subject of a factory recall. Some firing pin bushings were such that they allowed primer bulge or a pierced primer to flow back in around the firing pin and lock up the revolver. I'm not sure how many actually experienced the problem, and I suspect it was with...

WTB. Model 27-2, 5 inch or 4 inch. 1972 or Older.

Hi All, I'm stuck in California but can still buy something that's 50 years old or older. That brings into play some early Model 27's. I'm looking for a 4 inch or 5 inch. Please let me know if you might have something. Thanks.

    .22 WRF in a Model 651 OK?

Not necessarily more available or cheaper. Mostly heard it was a little more pleasant to shoot as it has less velocity and possibly more accurate due to lessened recoil. It's like a .38 special compared to a .357 Magnum. The .22 Mag is pretty loud of my 4 inch barrel on the 651. I'm aware...

    .22 WRF in a Model 651 OK?

Winchester is making jacketed .22 WRF again. I've seen it says to not use in revolvers. I'm aware of the differences between the .22 WRF and .22 WMR/.22 Magnum. I'm seeing mixed information on the use in the 651. Anyone have any personal experience with this ammo in .22 Mag revolvers...

Model 63. No dash. (.22/.32 Kit Gun Stainless) value please.

I decided to pass on the Model 63, no dash. Six months ago I purchased a nice model 651, 4 inch and have yet to try it. I figured I should probably shoot the 651 first before buying another J frame. Thank you all for the input. I will keep everyone posted if I change my mind and go for it.

Model 63. No dash. (.22/.32 Kit Gun Stainless) value please.

Found one of these in my travels today. M121XXX serial number. So probably a late 70's production. In perfect shape. Original grips. If fired beyond the factory test fire I would be surprised. No box, no papers. Shop asking $1000.00 Fair price or would it be worth making an offer a little...

    Gold Wax pen filler removal?

Previous owner of a Model 19 filled the roll marks with gold wax pencil. What is the safest way to get rid of this stuff? Acetone, Hoppes, heat...etc? Thanks for any info.

    Ruger 10/22 cleaning

I probably wouldn't do it. I've got between 10-15 K rounds through mine over the last 20 years. I've always cleaned from the muzzle but I use a brass rod and make sure my brushes are brass also. It still shoots as good as the day I brought it home. Maybe better.

    Model 651-1 cylinder conversion update.

I agree Jim..I was looking for a new/used yoke to modify but it was turning into more of a money pit and project then I anticipated. I'm happy with just using my K22 for .22 lr and the 651 for .22 Mag.
