    28 no dash= 4-screw, 1957-the start of the 3-screw 28-2 (early 60's) 28-3 = non-Pinned and recessed, made 1982-1986 discontinuation of the model. The Highway Patrolman is a 357 Magnum.

    Rust in Serial Numbers?????

    Hello all... Just acquired a Pre-28 5-screw from an auction site, really nice shape overall, except, the bottoms of the numbers on the butt have an orange tinge, no sign of rust anywhere else on the gun... Any suggestions on how to fix this without damaging things further? Thanks Ed J. the...
